Silly Brookles

So our silly little Brookles has done it again. One night D was down in the study late and Brooklyn came down because she said that Jennika was snoring. D told her to lay down on the couch and that he would take her back to bed when he went up to bed. Not two seconds later her turned around because it was suddenly very quiet and this is what he found. She had fallen back to sleep before she even made it all the way onto the couch. He thought it was so cute that he just had to take a picture to show me the next morning.

First Day of School

Well, it is official. Jennika is now a big 2nd grader. She was very excited for her first day of school but she also admitted to being a little bit nervous as well. Her teacher's name is Mrs. Marsden and Jenn absolutley loves her. As we were driving home from school on the first day I asked her how it went and she told me that she was kind of mad. When I asked her why, this is what she had to say. "I am mad because she did not give us very much work to do." While I am very happy that she loves school, I really have to wonder where we got such a silly girl. She loves school so much that we have even considered keeping her home from school as a punishment. (We really wouldn't, I promise!) She is very excited to learn as much as she possibly can this year.

All Dressed Up

OK, I know that most people will be very surprised by this picture, but I promise that it is real. Thanks to Annette, Derrek is actually wearing a suit. I just had to post a picture of him on my blog so that we could have proof that he actually can wear a suit and look really good even though he hates dressing up. He is so handsome! Thanks for the great birthday present! I still don't know how I tricked such a good looking great guy into marrying me. I sure am blessed! I love you D!

Libby's Blessing

Well I am a bit slow getting pictures up from Libby's blessing but here they are. She was blessed on August 4th by Derrek. My mom made her dress and it turned out so beautiful. Thanks mom! Libby is doing great and is growing up way too fast. She just had her 2 month Dr. appointment and she is healthy and doing great. She did not like her shots too much but then who does? Jennika is getting ready to start school on the 25th. She is very excited that she is going to be in Mrs Marsden's 2nd grade class. Brooklyn is so full of energy that some times we just don't know what to do with her. Both her and Jennika still love their baby sister and are really good helpers. I went back to work two weeks ago and it has been really hard on me but we are settling into a routine. It is still really hard to leave my family every day but it has to be done. I am very thankful that I have such a wonderful husband that loves his girls and takes such good care of them.
